Sorry for your troubles. In my law practice I only accept UNcontested Divorce cases, when hotly contested, BOTH parties hate the attorney, mine becasue he had to pay too much and the other because they didnt get enough lol and being retired and NOT wanting the business or heartburn, I refuse such cases. I tell them they can each pay thousands to their own attorney to slug out a settlement, or settle it out of court and end up at about the same place (less huge attorney fees for both) financially.
