Gas price jumped Wisconsin, Iowa, Minnesota, Illinois last week. Supposed to be a refinery around St. Paul down for some magor repairs and switch to summer blend, another around Chicago doing summer blend set up with some delays on inspection, small parts delivery, a 200 mile stetch of pipeline down for inspection after couple bad leaks recently. South Eastern section US refineries already setup and making summer blend, price relatively low but no extra capacity and transport to get much to northern midwest- pipelines going mostly south west to east, north east and don"t cross Ohio river much. Dakota is pumping crude, but outside of the large -now down- St. Paul refinery more of that crude is shipped by tank car south to Texas refineries. Might get price down around July 4th holiday. Diesel price is better break now- the home heating oil demand is down from winter, natural gas price is getting some multi-fuel capable customers to get the lower priced natural gas coming from fracked wells. The Amish a very amused. RN
