Oddly enough, the old IH rakes didn't use model numbers.
IH referred to it by its full name - which according the manual is "McCormick-Deering Enclosed Gear Tractor Side Delivery Rake (4 bar)"
It came after the 3 bar, and the open gear rakes, I believe in the mid 40's.
The colors we chose were based on paint remnants on this and other rakes we looked at - a lot of research - and the one color picture I was able to find of one. That picture is in Guy Fay's book IH tractors of the 1950's page 10. Coincidentally in that picture, the rake is being pulled by a super A.
