As soon as Orb hit the track for the post parade it was obvious that he did not like the feel of the track. He looked very uncomfortable the whole time. The track was worked very deep on the inside, so much that is would be like running in quicksand. The jockey on the winner recognized that and stayed well off the rail where the track was not as deep and he slowed the pace way down which which made it much harder for any others to catch him. Orb was stuck on the rail most of the way as his jockey did not catch on to the track condition.
