Late spring so I had plenty of time to get things ready. So I thought.
First day doing tillage work the steer hydraulic pump on my big tractor took a dump. This pump also pushes the oil to the transmission on the power shifting clutches.
Rained that night and they got it fixed in a couple of days. That was 3 weeks ago.
Not fun when you turn the steering wheel and the tractor comes to a quick stop.
First new pump leaked before it left the shop. Second pump leaked after 8 hours of use on Tueday while planting.
So while I was waiting for the last repair I decided to spray the corn I had planted. Batteries were dead on the spray tractor that was used just 2 days earlier.
Tuesday was not a good day.
Third pump made it through 16 hours of planting yesterday. 10 more hours today and then we can start on beans.
Hopefully things will go as good today as they did yesterday as it is suppose to start in on another rainy spell starting tonite.
