The bird seed bag may have helped, LOL. The last roll of shipping tape we bought was thinner, and I should have used a lot more I guess. I will have to work on my packing/shipping skills. Just glad nothing but the box got broken open. We used to can syrup in rectandular tin cans. Grimm Co. who made the tins also mad cardboard boxes to ship them in. The boxes said parishable product, handle with care, and had a "Pure NY Maple Syrup" lable on it. Mannnny never made it to their destinations, so we had to wrap brown shipping paper around them to discguise them. about all we can buy for containors now are the round plastic jugs or glass bottles. Both are hard to pack tight, so they will arive in good condition. Loren
