Was planning on going out this morning, dragging the garden and planting 5 or 6 150 foot rows of sweetcorn. Got as far as buying the seed. Rasin, sleet, snow, temps in the low 40's and winds to 30 mph. A most uncomfortable afternoon for such activities. Forecasting a hard frost overnight. Hope it doesn't hurt the fruit trees. Last year we took a real beating. Covered up the asparagras and rhubarb already. Think I'll put off the first sweet corn planting for a day or so.
