It dosent matter how long it is. as far as the mills ability to do the job. A longer belt will be heavier and therefore grip tighter on the pulleys of the mill and tractor. The wider a belt, the more grip it has on a pulley. My 2 belts are made from old used round bailer belting. One is around 24ft, and the other is twice that, 2 of them being belted together. Ive used both, both on buzz saw and hammermill, and ill likely used both when I use my husker shredder.
