Scrappers make the best dogs. All of our dogs have been scrappers, many that wander up looking for food, water, a place to sleep. Best dogs because they generally are so greatful. Just picked up another last weekend, a 150 pound, four year-old mastiff that was being used as a puppy mill. Bred non-stop litter after litter until she was of no more monetary use to the people, so they tossed her out. Well, she's ours now. Knows no words because she never had human interaction, but she's learnin. We have a labrador that is teaching her things she never knew before. I look at her like she's a brand spanking new hard drive out of the box. Doesn't know much but sure is storing and retaining everything she encounters. 150 pound pup. She's gonna be another good dog and addition to the household.
