I decided to put a gate in for the fence I"m putting up to keep the dogs from the road. Sooner or late the power company is going to need access to work on the lines, trim trees, etc. I was amazed that I hit wet sand--not just damp--but wet about 32" down. I used a bag of Redi-Mix in the hole and the mix that got on the sand from the hole started to turn dark gray. I"ll wait a day or two for the post to set up good and then brace and wire the posts. Then I can hang the gate and cover it with fence wire. I"ll only use it occasionally for access with equipment.
