I was taking things off the 2-135 White today to put a new clutch in it. I found a hose right where it starts up under the cab, that had a bulge about half the size of a golf ball on it. I hoped it was a heater hose, but no such luck. It's the suction line for the air conditioner. It runs all the way from the compressor, under the cab and up the cab corner with no fittings to take it apart. It seems to be quite a pliable hose. Doesn't feel like a wire braid. There's a pretty fair whack of slack in it.
Here's the question. Can I just cut a couple of inches out of it where the bad spot is and put a barbed fitting and some clamps in it or do I have to get a new hose and snake it down that cab corner and put more work in to it than it is to put a clutch in? I know I'll have to get the gas out then recharge it either way.
