Sometimes less. A one pound Yorkie bar was 50P.... a pint in any pub was about 60P. Ale, zider and chocolate bars... and an endless stream of totally cute birds who'd say 'oooooohhh... you ave an accent! You're an American chap aren't youuuuu?????? oooooooooo.... if I wasn't so young at the time, and wanted to survive into middle age... what a way to go!!!!!
