I would bet that it is the brake valve. In Tx jim's post he has the brake valve parts break down. The little check balls and springs quit holding and then the brakes will not work. It is real simple to repair just make sure and adjust it correctly going back together. You have to have the brake pedals on the valve to adjust it also.
