An example of this is: Assume a $25,000 tractor that has a dealer cost of $23,000. So there is a 4% cash discount or 72 month low interest financing. So if you take the low rate financing you are paying $920 more for the tractor. Where the low rate is really bad is when you have a high value trade-in. You lose the cash discount on the entire dealer invoice to get low rate financing on maybe 50% of that.
