Sorry this happened to you but in my mind the deal isn't sealed until the money changes hands. Your seller probably didn't know if you would really show up and sold it to the first green he actually saw. He may have been burned by no-shows in the past, remember he didn't know you from Adam, you're just a voice on the phone promising something. Not sure how to handle it differently. Anyone?
