I'm in a size lower than you're looking at (2816) and I've been happy with it. Had it about two years and it does what I need it to.
A lot of the Mahindra lines evolved from building International Harvester under licence. I don't recall if they both the specs and then evolved or what. A lot of their mid 30-50 hp stuff for a long time looked very much like Doncaster built IH with slight changes to sheet metal.
There are statistics out there that show Mahindra is actually building more farm tractors than JD for what it's worth.
I'll hope someone with one in the size you're looking at chimes in. I think you'll be happy with one though.
