If I remember what the salesman told me Bosch makes some dishwashers in US,LG in Korea and pretty much everything else is made in China.I assume washing machines are the same.I bought a front load Frigidaire set at least 10 years ago and it lasted through 3 teenage boys so I am well pleased.Replaced with an LG front load about a year ago when the old one started making a noise like the drum bearing was going.I am on an old and under sized tile bed so I really have to be careful of water use.
When the Mrs and I set up housekeeping we started with used appliances and replaced with Admiral as they failed then when money was a little more plentiful I replaced everything with Maytags thinking I was buying the same top of the line stuff my parents had.Big mistake.Maytags are not what the used to be.I am very impressed with the engineering of the LG stuff.Haven't had it long enough to know how it will stand up.
