See my earlier post regarding my Whirlpool. I never paid any attention to water remaining in the bottom and you cant see it cuz the drum is perferated and the water is below that. When I thought my bearing was failing I finally had the oportunity to turn the drum by hand and low and behold water was swishing. I thought it was normal. Then my bearing noise quit and water was on the floor. Alas, more was in the drum. So I popped the front thinking a pump was failing and then I found the drain trap/screen. I opened to see and there was my sock in shreds causing the backup of water in the tub to remain. Cleaned it out and no more swishing. Is this the way all of em are? No but mine was.
