I have a 5mm Sheridan air rifle. Does the job. I would only use it if you have a wooden roof, or less pumps if metal. It will go through pole barn steel, proved it on my dads barn, oops. Pigeon is just fine to eat, giant dove to me. Fry the breast in bacon grease with salt/pepper/garlic rub and BBQ sauce, then enjoy. Rick
