I bought a mule belt for my zero turn. This belt drives the mower and the mower blades. The parts clerk gave me the correct belt per his computer which agreed with my book. Removed the old belt, installed the new one. New one had about an inch slack. Looked in the book, said to relocate idler pulley. Moved idler to different locations. Did that, didn't work. Spent a couple hours each day for two or three days on this. Put it down, come back to it later, etc. Still didn"t work.
Read book again, different paragraph. Said to relocate the stationary idler pulley. Took ten minutes, works fine. Pays to carefully read the book. I doubt I'm the first to have this happen to.
