I just bought a box blade a month ago from a New Holland dealer 30 miles from me. It works better than a rear grader blade by far. I told my wife right after I used it to resurface/scrape/grade the driveway I wish I had bought that years ago. Yes to answer your question, it does fill in potholes. My wife even commented on how nice it looked afterwards......Complements from Mrs. Wile E are kinda rare.
The only thing I have seen that works better than a box blade is this large scraper device used on the rear 3 point that has 2 sides and 2 small scraper blades inside it. I do not remember what it is called. Go to youtube and type in grader blades and see for yourself.
