Looking at a used truck, for my own non-farm purposes. Found a '93 Toyota dually with a 10-foot box body...NOT a former U-haul, but one that's been privately owned all its life. It has the 3.0 V6 and an automatic, and shows about average wear but with decent maintenance. Underhood sticker says the timing belt was changed at 71k, and it's showing 116k miles now.
Anyone more experienced with these than I am, who might tell me about good/bad points to look for? I'm looking to ditch the box body and buy or build a flatbed, and get away from that extra 2 feet of wind resistance above the cab. I figure it MIGHT be an economical alternative, since the guys I know who have the Toyota pickups seem to love 'em and run 'em forever.
