I made a cheap and dirty for my '84 GMC... A 12 volt buzzer horn from Radio Shcck and a 3 amp (or more) diode. Wire in series and hang between a ignition terminal and the light terminal on the fuse block. If it sounds when it shouldn't then reverse the leads. Here's what happens: Ignition and lights off - no voltage - no sound. Ignition on - lights off - diode prevents current flow - no sound. Lights on - ignition on - same voltage, no sound. Lights on ignition off - SOUND - current flows from lights through sounder and diode and grounds back through ignition circuit (somewhere). Should be able to find empty terminal for lights and ignition right on fuse block.
