Sorry to hear of your loss. Over the years I've lost a poodle to cancer, recently my wifes old poodle to 'old age', 6 mixed breeds to old age or other maladies, 2 more to being hit by a vehicle (one I watched from less than 20 feet away as he ran past me into the road, not to mention the ones belonging to my grandparents, that I often cared for when growing up. One thing I learned years ago is that when your a dog lover it doesn't matter how many times you experience the grief of a buddy dying, it never gets any easier.
