Went thru the floorboards on a 01 Focus where the wiring goes to the pump. Had to englarge the opening with tin snips after removing the rubber grommet. cut straight out from original hole and bent metal back and when all done bent it back in place and repaired with caulk and duct tape. It actually looked ok and the grommet fit back nicely.
Made it easy to siphon gas out also.
Edit.. It was under the back seat in an easy spot.
