I use roundup to kill it, spray out the green stuff, 1st, then I use a pole saw to cut about an 18" section out of the vine. Then pour about an ounce of pure RU on the stump. Don;t waste that section, put on rubber gloves, and carve a spoon out of it, for your mother-in-law! You will chuckle, every time she opens her yap!
