What a fantastic photograph, nicely done! We have so many dove here it would probably surprise most folks. The whitewings are thick even though dove season thins them out. No doubt this season will do less damage with the cost increases on ammo. I can hunt them here in the yard but choose not to as I think they are gorgeous and don't make a mess like the stinking grackles do not to mention they are a lot quieter too. We don't feed them as there is plenty to eat anyway. They like it here because of the water tanks for the goats, they can land in the pens and drink and the goats just ignore them. Recently we had a white dove show up and I see it every few days. Been wondering if it's some sort of sign.
