One caution - the income and sales tax situation is up in the air in both states. I used to travel the whole state of Missouri and I agree with the other guys. Any place south of I44 and west of Highway 67. Area around Highway 67 is kind of mountainous. The Springfield to Branson corridor is getting crowded and touristy and expensive.
