When you say "rail holding it down" is this rail at the top or the sides??? There is a guide rail along the sides that is shaped/curved like the screen. There may also be a stop at the top end. The stop at the top end will have to be removed. The guides on the side should let the screen be pulled out the top. The screen just curves out in a circular motion. If the screen has not been changes in years and the feed is caked/rusted in the side guides you may have to take them off to get it to move the first time. If you change it often after that you should not have to take anything apart. That first time can be a real bugger.
