My wife used to be a teacher and to make extra money would mark exam papers in her spare time.In the last few years, more and more papers were written using text-message abbreviations. The instructions from the Examination Board said "do not mark these, if the child cannot write and spell correctly, NO MARKS." Seems to me, that educational sytems are failing our children; if they cannot spell and write a proper letter, how are they to get on? Phil
