I ran a couple of 310Ds. If you are in a loose pile, I usually used 2nd gear to load the bucket. If I was in something more packed I used 1st. 1st seemed to spin easier, way too much power. The 410 should have a little more power and weight.
I think the only difference the C has the shuttle lever (mechanical) where the D has it mounted on the steering column (electric) like a little blinker switch.
I now own a 580SE Case and mostly load piles in 2nd.
