There are quite a few modern style building plans on these sites that would still be useful to most folks, but I think the older plans are both more interesting and made available because of the historical interest in the older ways of doing things, not because they don`t have any better. Modern pole barn plans are a dime a dozen, have not changed much since the 70`s, and are stone simple compared to some of the old post and beam and plank-framed gambrel barns. I have quite a few plans saved off of both of these sites, because I am looking at building a 36` wide gambrel barn, and the older plans can be pretty hard to find.
