There are two guys around here that just put in round bale re-baling setups. They both are using the Hesston/Massey centerline balers. I am not sure as to the capacity they are rated at or how many bales per hour thay are doing.
I can tell you we used to bale 30-50K of little squares each year. The best baler I have ever found that would do the job and get it done in a timely manner was a NH 276 baler. The NH 316 that replaced it had fewer strokes per minute and was a piece of CRAP!!! I traded in NH 276 and the new NH 316 would not bale near as good. I only kept it one cutting. I went and found another NH 276.
I currently have two NH 276 balers, well actually three. I have one that is wire tie for straw.
The 250 bales a hour should not strain a good high capacity baler. I have baled more than that with the ones I have had.
I baled for a neighbor that had a bale wagon so I could quarter turn the bales on the ground. So you never had to stop and switch wagons. I have baled 2000-2100 bales for him in 6-7 hours many times. He did have good long fields and did a good job raking but it was not hard to do.
