Baling good hay is an art form requiring timing, perfect weather, reliable equipment and a little luck. Using old equipment that is prone to breakage (unless it is in pristine condition) is recipe for poor hay quality, wasted time, and lots of frustration. A few acres a year, ok, but it you pan on baling more that just a few acres, I would see about hiring the baling done. Maybe mow and rake with your stuff and have somebody come in and bale it for ya.
