My 50 started doing something similar this week. Started it, drove it out of the barn, went to start it and put it back, nothing. Tried the lights nothing. Pulled the dash out, checked the switch to see if lead wire was hot. Did have fire there but no where else with switch on. Kept messing with it and noticed my lights started working. Tried it, fired right up. So, I'm thinking my switch is going bad, which is what may be wrong with yours.
