Cash sales are always first come, first served, especially in a seller's market. If you didn't leave a deposit (10% minimum to hold it a few days, 25% to 100% is better if you definetly want it) and you still waited more than three days to call back, then the seller was right to assume either you were not interested or you didn't have the money for the payment.
