: Commercial carburetor cleaner is quite expensive. : Does anyone have a recipe for a mix it yourself : cleaner using ingredients that are readily : available ? : To be specific I wish a solution that I can soak : clogged carburetors or other parts and it will : remove dried gas and essentially everything. : Thanks : Ed Wilson - ewilson@trytel.com Ed - I've had excellent luck with Strip-Eze (methylene chloride paint remover). Dissolves, gum, varnish, paint - EVERYTHING - and does not harm metal parts. Be sure to remove any plastic parts (it'll dissolve them too) before you dip, and have plenty of ventilation. Bob
