You can use your 12 volt charger to charge both batteries while they're connected in series. We use to charge 6 twelve volt batteries used in military vehicles that were connected in series parallel to get 24 volts. We ran cold starts on military vehicles. We had a big rectifier for charging the batteries. The charging amps should drop as your batteries get charged. Hal
