My mother had a house that her an Dad bought in the late 1940's. They lived there until they could afford to build a new house (around 1960) They rented the house out through the years with Dad doing the "management" of the property. Things went ok until Dad died around 2000. Mom had no experience with this, but pride would not allow her to let me help her plus I think that she thought I would have wanted a cut of the rent. To make a long story short, she rented it to a woman and the troubles began. The Police Chief came to see me one night and wanted to talk to me. Said that the property was a suspected crack house.When Mom found out, she went to her lawyer and had a deed made out and signed the place over to me (Thanks!) After evicting the bums, I go my friend to take it down and haul it off. Problem solved. Now I have a lot to mow and the neighborhood is improved.
