Well got the last part in today that I needed to finish up the Chev 4X4 that the transfer case fell out of. Installed the 4 wheel drive shifter and started it up. After a few minutes I had smoke rolling out from under the hood. I found the harmonic balancer was rubbing the front cross member. If I loosen the transmission cross member the problem went away. Called a guy I know and asked him if I had put the cross member in 180 out if that would cause that and he said yes. So I had to jack up the transmission and pull the cross member and turn it 180. Guess the do not make Chev 4X4 sailor proof. Oh well at least the truck is ready for the road if and when I need it
