I agree. Many places in the northwest don't really warm up till late june/ early july. The rodeo in Sisters Oregon(my old stomping grounds) is held the 2nd weekend in June. Sat thru many COLD and snowy weekends there.
The southwest is nice in early may. Although we left Bryce Canyon on about the 2nd of May a few years ago and heard on the radio the next day that it had snowed a foot. Luckily we had headed south...
