Compare realistic bpa for your area between corn and wheat and beans. In a dry year wheat can be good as it takes less moisture and also spreads the workload but a lot depends on your soil. If you have a lot of light ground that dries out wheat is a good gamble but in better soil corn is a better choice. The price of wheat usually follows corn as they can be switched in feed rations. I used to raise 1/3 beans, corn, wheat but the elevators got to picky with wheat. Protein had to be just the right amount. To low and you got docked then to high and you got docked.
