Nothing wrong with old tractors at all. The newest one on our farm is a 1966. When there is a problem, we fix it. It doesn't have to be genuine JD but we at least fix it so it doesn't fail before the next task is completed. I'm not above aftermarket or welding something up, but I will not let a job go out my door that I would be ashamed to say I did. How good would that be for a reputation? Do you want to be known for good work or as the neighborhood cobbler? My local farmers want a cobbler and I'm not the man for the job. Hech, half the tractors that came in here were missing hoods!
