I had a 78 F150 300 4spd 4x4 it traded after 208K never had a problem other than normal maintience. Next owner ran it into the ground & he also bought my 1986 F150 4x4 4spd/ @185K. It"s still going but looks sad. Since I am a Parts manager, I know Of some we can"t seem to get ride of, & many I hardly ever see again. Doesn"t matter which brand, some have a mind of their own. I know the worst Ford/Merc I ever owned was a 1976 Monach, Never really liked the car to start with.
