I tried to help a trucker and his family get out of about 4inches of snow with my little half ton chevy 4x4. Even with me on dry pavement, I could not get him to move. It was a wet heavy snow and it had made ice under his tires and all he needed to do was getting moving a little bit. When that did not work, we laid out the tractor chains that I had just bought at an auction. After he got moving, he hit the air brakes and did I come to an abrupt halt. I loaded my chains and left.
