Hey Larry, My legs are better looking than yours! That's the ugly part of this thread. HeHe Many years back Case bought the EB/ Rock Island machinery Co. The smaller utility type tractors were designed and built there rather than in Racine WI. where the Main Works were located Case built all its steamers and threshers there, plus in later days after the RI plant was closed all their tractors. For a while the RI Works and the Main Works seamed to be locked in a competition, each having their own R&D departments, and building their own variations of Case tractors. The RI tractors ranged from the V's up to the early 4-630s Tractor production in thr RI Works ended in 1961. The two tone Case tractors offered many trans. choices from a std 4spd., to a 12spd triple range, to The COM tranny in 4/611B's and 5/630's In 1972 Case also bought David Brown, who had a large line of smaller farm tractors. The pics. are of our RI tractors, still earning their keep. Keep on tractoring guys Loren, the Acg.
