I went to a one room school in Sharon Township, Richland County, Ohio for my first three years. Then the township schools were closed and we were all bussed into town. Town school wasn't all that big, but it wasn't like the old one. Got to give those one room school teachers credit. They were miles from any help, school board members were all in the field somewhere, no principal and they still managed to teach kids, tend wounds, settle disputes, and keep general order.
