Heard the story back in England in the early nineties from a guy who"s friend worked on dozers and funny thing was they where cats. The story goes the guy was sent out to do a de glaze and service on a machine between work shifts. there was not time to do head and pan off job, so the guy humped a pot of dish cleaner through the air pipe at flat out rpm. it coughed and spluttered a bit then cleared. He then did the service. The guy jumped in his car and went home. His car had a very distinct muffler noise. His boss heard him drive by and return past his house 3 hours later. Boss questions guy in morning as why work sheet said service and de glaze complete as he had not enough time on site to do it. So the guy told him what he did and from then on I don"t think many motors got pulled apart for de glazing. So yes if done right it can work. Im not sure if this guy is why Cat started doing it or who"s idea it was originally though. Regards Robert
