My return line on my power steering broke where the rubber hose meets the metal line . The replacement is 82.00 i'm wondering if i can just buy some power steering hose and clamp onto the metal line that comes out of the steering box ? Its not running near anything hot. There is a loop of metal line near the bottom of the car . But if i ran a new line i could run it away from the ground . Is there a reason i would need these metal bends and loops other than road debris ? 99 alero
