The IH disc is not superior. With no wheels on the wings it will gouge much more and they don't leave as smooth a finnished surface. As Loren said they may cut a bit deeper so if you have heavy ground that might be a consideration. I have used both and the kewanee will pull much easier and leave a smoother surface. Blades are generic and can be had anywhere as are the bearings. With the wing wheels the kewanee will flex and ride the uneven contours of the fields much better. Also if my 1370 couldn't tear one up in our rocky ground there is not much chance his Allis will.
